Last Night Was More Than A Piano Concert … It Was A Journey

……….*silence*……….Sorry….. I….I am STILL trying to process what actually happened last night… .

…..it was a big risk and a LOT of things could have gone really wrong ..but I am really happy that most of it actually went RIGHT!

Last night was more than a piano concert…it was a journey… showing the feelings and origins of all of all the songs on the EP and where they came from….

This EP Launch was a definite one off and everyone put SO MUCH work into this that standing ovation was for EVERYONE involved!

There are so many people to commend and I really hope I don’t miss anyone out!

* Gurdybird and Order Of The Geep Alternative Morris : thank you for opening the show and helping me in my main set too. The audience loved you and Gurdybird is an act that successfully blends awesome multi talent and uniqueness! Sublime

* Lottee Brown : what a voice …SO lucky to know this beautiful, talented diamond and her family. She has a really bright future. The stage is where she belongs. Thank you also to Victoria for assisting with the straitjacket and setting me on fire …she made the show by helping out with the props/magic and managing the stage. I will endlessly be grateful with all my heart for your time and effort on this…even if a certain strap on my straitjacket was a little too tight .

* Penlee Cluster and Nightchurch Penzance: thank you for hosting another concert one year on and for looking after me…particularly Eliza, Alex and Lesley.

From the lighting , compering and managing the signings to making sure I was okay when overwhelmed.

I am forever grateful for everything you’ve done for me from that first moment 18 months back when I asked you if you had a piano… don’t think any of us were expecting this to happen …

* Trevow Music Management for making all of this happen! Also assisting me with bookings, concerts and everything in between including making the physical CD! Kerensa Wright is very busy with a lot going on and I’m blessed that she makes time for me.

* Kim Worden SoundsCornish Underground and Lemonade Factory Studio for bringing my songs to life! Kim has been a best friend for 17 + years….our first meeting we even played music together at his birthday party…a brilliant, multi talent! Brendan McGreal thank you for signing me and recording and mixing these tracks. Everyone here produced extraordinary work!

* JellyBean Photography …big hugs and loving thanks for helping me on the road, off the road, on the stage, off the stage, on the phone, off the phone….because of you, I’m able to trust people again and let the right people in. You’ve helped more than you know

* Gigsketch Art …magnificent sketches! Such a special talent that I’ve never encountered before we met at the concert at Truro Cathedral…I am thrilled your sketches are on the album cover and CD! I adore your work so much. Thank you so much for the flowers too big hugs and love

* Holroyd Design thank you for the album cover design, website and helping me with my logo concept! so cool and awesome!

* Scott for the amazing sound work! These venues can be challenging but he is so friendly professional and an asset.

* Simon Bradley for teaching me magic, escapology and the fire stunts in last night’s show. Also.for helping me source out a lot of these props along with some other magical friends.

* To everyone who provided a voice for the audio in the show and helped me.tell my story.. there are too many to tag but you know who you are and I am.so thankful that I could count on you and you were there to help

…and lastly, (will edit if I accidentally missed anyone), a SPECIAL THANK YOU to YOU! Yes, YOU!

Not only you helped me help others, you gave me a new journey…..and this journey has the potential to give me a home

But to embrace this, it’s literally…”Hi & Bye” .”Hi” to my future and “bye” to my past.

Last night for me…it was emotionally, physically and mentally exhausting….but worth it! It was therapeutic. It was closure.

This is why i will never repeat this performance ever again. I am ready to move forward.

(NB. There may be the odd bit of comedy, magic…. perhaps a tiny bit of fire on the rare occasion …..but all future concerts will be mainly piano concerts.
